Loch Glascarnoch roadside stop
Our first proper pause: coffee beside the water, a picnic from the van and the mountains finally opening ahead of us.
Corrieshalloch Gorge
We followed the woodland path to the suspension bridge and watched the Falls of Measach disappear into the gorge.
Sunset sea-kayak at Ullapool
A gentle guided paddle across glassy water as the evening light turned the hills copper.
Golden hour above Big Sand
We carried a blanket over the dunes and watched the sun settle behind Skye. The photograph became our Adventure cover.
Cold dip at Loch Maree
A very quick, bracing dip from a quiet stony shore after the walk. We checked local conditions first and stayed close to shore.

Morag told us about the quieter coast road and the tiny beach that became our favourite discovery.
A slow Sunday beside the loch
Rain on the roof, breakfast in the van and no timetable. By afternoon the cloud lifted and we followed the coast north.
